Join Victoria on Friday March 22nd for a free clinic at Long & McQuade Pickering on “Putting On A Great Show.” Making music is more than playing for yourself in your room; it’s about entertaining and connecting with your audience. Participants will be introduced to the basics of using technology to compliment and create their sound, the principles of programming a show, the key elements to a visually engaging performance, and the important business preparation work needed to work with a buyer.
On November 17th, 2012, Toronto artist, Victoria Yeh, will officially be releasing her long awaited debut album, aptly titled, Electrified. Like many other unconventional violinists, Victoria was classically trained as a child, inspired and shaped by some of Canada’s most respected musicians, including the late Ranald Shean, a founding member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and beloved educator. “The violin has always been a beautiful creative outlet for me, but I was always drawn to alternative rock. With classical music, I can interpret and shape a piece in endless ways – but with rock, I feel like I can truly create something new,” said Victoria.
